Heritage Quest Online Database

In addition to Ancestry.com and Ancestry Library Edition, there is another major online genealogical database:  Heritage Quest Online.

The University of Delaware Library does not have access to this. It is available through the Delaware Library Catalog.

Contents: index to books and index to genealogical periodicals (PERSI). Digital collections of: U.S. Census, Revolutionary War materials, Freedman’s Bank records, and U.S. Serial Set (memorials, petitions, and private relief acts).

PERSI

PERSI (Periodical Source Index) is the largest subject index to genealogical and historical periodical articles in the world. Covers genealogy and local history periodicals written in English and French (Canada) since 1800. The time period of the articles ranges from the 1700s to the present. More than 1.8 million index entries from nearly ten thousand titles are represented in this index.

Created by the Allen County Public Library Historical Genealogy Department (Ft. Wayne, Indiana).
